2023 National Manufacturing Day

Astro Machine Works, located in Ephrata, PA, is celebrating its 12th anniversary of Manufacturing Day, having participated since the first year in 2012. This year, we have plans to host approximately 150 students from three local high schools including Pequea Valley Middle School 7th graders, Warwick High School Welding Students & Elizabethtown High School Students.

As noted by the Manufacturing institute: Celebrated nationally on the first Friday in October, MFG Day is manufacturing’s biggest annual opportunity to inspire the next generation, positively shift perceptions about our industry, and build the foundation for the manufacturing workforce of the future.

We love touring students with interests in STEM education or in Trades Schools learning a vocation in Machining, Fabrication or Welding.

We have partnered with Lancaster Makes for these toursBy working together during and after MFG DAY, we can address the skilled labor shortage, connect with future generations enhance the public image of manufacturing, and ensure the ongoing prosperity of our industry.  https://lancastermakes.org/manufacturing-day-2022
