In just a couple of weeks Astro Machine Works will be attending the 15th Annual U.S. Department of Energy Small Business Forum and Expo. The event is taking place at the Atlanta Marriot Marquis in Atlanta, GA, May 23rd-25th. The hosts of DOE2016 are expecting a large turn out as usual. Energy, defense, and science industry experts will come together to present the latest on field news and technological advances. It will also simultaneously pose the opportunity for top businesses, contractors, and representatives to interact.
At the conference we will be showcasing our custom machinery and machining capabilities. We will also be taking the time to demonstrate our expertise in building equipment and producing precision parts. Dr. Ernest Moniz, U.S. Secretary of Energy, will be the keynote speaker at the opening ceremony. “He is tasked with implementing critical Department of Energy missions in support of President Obama’s goals of growing the economy, enhancing security, and protecting the environment. This encompasses advancing the President’s all-of-the-above energy strategy, maintaining nuclear deterrent and reducing the nuclear danger, promoting American leadership in science and clean energy technology innovation, cleaning up the legacy of the cold war, and strengthening management and performance.”
Other topics at this year’s Expo will include new technologies to strengthen and sustain energy independence. Presenters will also emphasize different ways to increase nuclear security through defense, limited weapon production, and environmental endeavors, as Moniz above.
